Being most of the time a light to fair complexion girl this shade works pretty well with my skintone even though I find it to be a little bit too pink at times. I would describe it more as a light to medium powder with a neutral undertone. ❥ Vanilla is described as a pale cream shade. But let me give you my thoughts on the shades inside my palette. If you are a makeup artist you can custom create your own palettes but also you can easily re-purchase a shade in case you run out. The best thing about Anastasia’s Contour Kit is that besides the “already fixed palettes”, she offers many more individuall shades that you can buy and create you own kit. This is not a palette for fair skintones but great for those of you with a medium skintone. Anyway, I don’t find it to be much of a problem. I’ve seen many reviews saying that the bottom row, which are the bronzers, is very powdery but I find that the top row is way way more. This is a very good palette and the shades have a great blending formula. each pan))Īnastasia’s Contour Kit is the first kit of it’s kind created and ever since contour kits became a thing. My only regret really is that I didn’t get this contour palette sooner! A light hand will mean my subtle contour ladies will love this just as much as those of you who love more of strong contour. I can’t really fault this palette, it’s a one stop shop to get your contour on. For a more prominent highlight on the cheekbones, I find Vanilla to be the best for this as it has a slight shimmer to it and since it’s a champagne shade, I’d say this would probably be universally flattering. I find the best way to apply it is with a damp beauty blender for a flawless soft focus finish. The powder is also so finely milled that it doesn’t look cakey in the slightest and for someone like me who gets ridiculous under eye creases I have to say this is the best powder I’ve used to date for my under eyes. I just find this to be the most perfect shade for setting under eye concealer and my t zone, and any other areas I just want to brighten up slightly. I actually find this to be the most similar contour I’ve found to Kevyn Aucoin ‘The Sculpting Powder’, which is a steep £35 so for an extra £4 you’re getting 5 more shades…just sayin. My favourite of the three has to be Fawn as it gives the most perfect cool, ashy toned, natural contour.
